Complying Development has undergone major changes. Accredited certifiers are now able to approve and inspect a wide range of development.
It is now possible to approve developments such as single and two storey dwellings, dwelling additions, swimming pools, granny flats (secondary dwelling), outbuildings in the domestic realm of development. Additionally complying development certificates can now be issued for commercial development in relation to change of use of a premises and internal alterations.
In assessing applications for complying development certificates, Urban City Consulting does this in a two stage process.
In order to undertake initial assessment of the complying development certificate application, we will require a 149(2) planning certificate from the respective local council area.
